i am sad for Laurina but there was so little separating everyone and her showstopper was just not quite there? i think the top three is right, i will be pulling for Arvin tho! his technical was so good!
(and i think, finally, they've got the balance right with giving them enough time so they're still under pressure to finish things but can at least realistically get it done? like that technical was super tricky but pretty much everyone's looked good, which is what you want. you can judge on skill, not on who was scrambling the least...)
No one did terribly this week so the judges really had to split hairs to decide who was going home. When it comes to choosing who will be in the finale, I also take into account how they have each done over the season as well as who do I want to see more from? I'm so glad that Arvin made the finals because he has made so many really interesting things all season, and I love his flavor combinations. I would have been happy for any of the other three to be finalists with him.
