Uk newspaper The Guardian has announced it will no longer post on Twitter/X due to the website's toxicity since Elon Musk took over. They said the negatives outweigh the positives and cite "disturbing content" and the way the site handled the election as its final decision.

I'm don't follow many Twitter accounts but they're finally starting to move to Bluesky so I'm following them there. I've had a Bluesky account for a while but no one was posting!

It's all just ads and Nazis now. I have a small group of friends I've known for years there but we're all pretty much slowly making it to bluesky because the site really is dying. Thanks Elon for killing a lot of our childhoods I guess lol but yeah I can see most people leaving it. That election really was the final nail in the coffin.

Many people use it for crowdfunding and mutual aid which they've been doing for years and having to start over is daunting. Plus, lots of Palestinians and Sudanese people post there too. I think the app is horrible but some people are in a hard place right now because of stuff like that. I hope Bluesky becomes more popular though.
