Facebook post Uk newspaper The Guardian has announced it will no longer post on Twitter/X due to the website's toxicity since Elon Musk took over. They said the negatives outweigh the positives and cite "disturbing content" and the way the site handled the election as its final decision.

Good riddance. We turned tumblr into a low digit million dollar company, we can do the same for twitter!
There have been multiple mass exodus' since Elon took over (and so many celebs either just silently quit or barely post) but I feel like this latest one is finally taking it's toll. The accumulation of so many people leaving, bluesky finally being the alternative people have coalesced around and it being able to support the influx of users are all good signs.

Its probably why Tumblr wasnt profitable. Very insular with how the feed worked. Unless its changed since i left it.

To which there's no answer to be found on the current Twitter, hence why I've peaced out to Bluesky. Which makes me sad, feels like giving up a lot of history and people I had got to know, but I can't keep swimming in that cesspool.
