I saw Wallows at a festival and they were surprisingly really good.

We get 100 Gecs in San Francisco and I'm supremely jealous of other cities

the "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" US tour in 2025 would probably be more fitting

They played a mix of all their albums when I saw them a couple years ago and it was amazing but the black parade is my favorite album so this would a dream.

black parade was /the/ album to me when it came out. my mom adopted it as one of her own a few years later when she was diagnosed with cancer (somehow she found it uplifting in ways?) and as such i haven't really been able to revisit certain bits since she passed a decade ago. i would kill to go to this but also lol cant afford it and know it would be emotionally draining for me to say the least.

I went to WWWY this year and by the time of their set (10:30pm? I forget), I was so exhausted from being there since 9am that I just sat on the concrete somewhere with no visibility to the stage or any screens, trying to stay warm but also falling asleep lol. I learned that I’m too old for festivals. They are also too expensive but it was a one-time thing for me. I could do Warped back in my heyday but not anymore.

That being said, from what I heard through my nap, their set was very good 😅

Honestly.... the vibe wasn't it and it felt like they phoned it in. I didn't even stay for them night 2. They've been putting in lackluster performances at WWWY and it sucks. Maybe it'll be better on tour but they have not been good at these festivals.
