It seems the singer did not take kindly to Billboard recently confirming the rumors of a management change. In response to Billboard linking the article on their Instagram, she left a comment that made her feelings pretty clear.
lol i love her music and think she's a great performer but this is why she annoys me. literally what is wrong with that article? if she's going to be famous media outlets are going to report on stuff like her splitting with her management.
I mean the "notably" is obviously trying to imply it was shady to leave Chappell's noms off the post. I honestly think Chappell's comment is just annoyance that this seems to add drama to a situation that doesn't have any. People are having a bigger reaction to her comment then what supposedly her reaction was
Her comment adds even more drama to what is an innocuous article, even if it was editorialized. Now people have more questions over something they would’ve forgotten they read an hour later. She needs to take a step back, turn off her google alerts, and hand her IG over to someone else. I feel like she thinks this is endearing or something but it’s not.
It’s weird to say that a music industry news site “sucks” for reporting the news.
I really like her music and persona and find her lack of PR training refreshing but I feel like "Chappell Roan responds" is the new "Lena Dunham apologizes" tbh.
