Studios making more money while the talent makes less. Sounds about right. Its what Bravo has been doing for years now unless you're a big name.

I wonder what the contract will be for amount of seasons since casts can definitely ban together to get that good pay raise.

Unless the show is a top 5 performer for a network/streamer, though, I think they'd rather cancel the show than pay raises to creatives involved. Netflix canceled Santa Clarita Diet more because of pay raises for season 4 than because it was performing poorly, and since it was canceled 5 years ago now, it's even gained popularity.

Yeah, its more about hit shows than the mediocre rated ones. That hasn't ever changed really

In the post-Peak TV era, we may never again see entire casts of five or six making $1M an episode.

This doesn't surprise me tbh. Shows get cancelled so quickly now, so they can't even get enough episodes to negotiate pay rises or sign new contracts. I think Grey's and L&O will probably be the last shows where the main cast are truly making bank, just because they've been on so long.

911 on ABC as well
Their contracts will need to be renewed after this season 8,...and pay raises

I think a fixed salary makes sense for something like Elsbeth where it’s for the main guest star who isn’t recurring. But for the main cast of the show, it’s just about executives and shareholders making more while the creatives behind the success make less.

Of course they pull out this model after the strikes.

Isn't this the show that was originally pitched as an ER Reboot, it didn't work out, so they rewrote it as something else with Noah Wyle as a doctor-but-totally-not-Carter-okay? I think there's a lawsuit involved now.
