I love Double Indemnity because I've always been partial to anything Barbara Stanwyck.

Same, it’s my favorite just because she’s so compelling in every role, and Double Indemnity is my favorite of her noirs. And honestly, if she hadn’t ended up a famous actress, I could see her being a genuine femme fatale lol

One of the lists I saw has Bound as a 90s noir so I’ll go with that because: lesbians

How could I forget Bound, my beloved?

I went back to rewatch that and the sex scenes are a dead giveaway that it was written/directed by women. I love the Mulholland Drive and generally enjoy the Handmaiden but lol male directors never quite get it.

Ha! I just watched Strangers on a Train last night! I thought it was good for the most part but I thought the conclusion was too clean(?), it didn't feel~ that noir-ish. Although the cops keeping watch of him kinda did but not overall as a mood~

Never thought of Rebecca as a noir cause it felt more gothic to me.

Lost Highway, Love Lies Bleeding Vertigo(?), Notorious (felt more spy than noir), Sunset Blvd, Detour, The Blue Dahlia, Gilda, Double Indemnity in the recent year.

Put some music to set the mood~
