My local theater only has 4 screens, the town over has 6, and then they also own another theater 20 miles away that has 5, but they show the same stuff! I have to go 50 miles to see anything else, and even the Cinemark there isn't playing it. Regal is but ugh I don't want to drive 100 miles round trip just for a movie unless it's something SPECIAL special.

I want to see Small Things Like These and I might wait for Heretic to show up on streaming. I still need to get out and see Anora.

Blitz: Great cast, visibly high budget, interesting time period, bad script. Not a good film. Sad for the Steve McQueen and Saoirse of it all.
A Real Pain: I liked this a lot, but less than I was hoping. It's well executed, but was not very emotionally impactful for me. Kieran is very good!
We have a lot going on over the next week and a half, so I will not be able to see a bunch of things I'd like to see - Small Things Like These, Heretic, Bird - and idk if they'll still be playing when we have free time again. Guess I'll find out. We are going to see Emilia Perez and an early screening of Queer next week while my mom and sister are in town, so that's good, anyway.
