kamala harris, as imperfect as she may be, gave it her all. i dont think one can make their case in 3 months but her campaign was not bad overall. she had the momentum at the right time. this is a vivid reflection of super racist, sexist, right wing america. the entire world is shifting there. i don't know how we combat that.

and at the end of the day, kamala will be fine. she had a great political career (i think it's over), but we're fucked. how do we fight a majority that simply hates us for existing? i fucking KNEW she would lose but i had no idea it would be by this much and that dems would lose control of everything? terryfying

It's in some ways worse than 2016. At least in 2016, he lost the popular vote and we didn't have proof what a presidency with him would be like so there was the slightest glimmer of hope it wouldn't be the worst.

And he doesn't have to hold back this time because there's not a re-election for him even if he plays by the rules.

Absolutely. I think those of us paying attention feared what he was capable of, but I really could not have predicted an insurrection and a pandemic. I have no idea what's in store now, especially since he's replacing everyone with Loyalists. This is truly the Bad Place.

Sad to say this but even if he did murder someone on live TV it wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker for many people, just you know, depends on who the victim was.

Not even really sure what to say. I am not surprised but I am disappointed. I started watching results last night and quickly made the decision I couldn’t do it. Fell asleep on the couch, woke up at 12:45a and did a quick check and I think I knew then. I went to bed and refused to check my phone the few times I woke up over the night. Got up at 5a on this here day of my birth, and what an awful awful thing to wake up to. I feel just.. empty, I guess. My dad asked me a few days if I thought Kamala was going to win and without thinking, I said no but even then, I was hoping I was wrong. Expect the worse, be surprised for the best type thing. I’m just rambling at this point but I’m still trying to wrap my head around all this this morning… rip America tbh
