Only because he’s a masculine-presenting white man that a lot of the community place on a pedestal. If he was a man of color, he’d be called out and these gay men would suddenly be singing a very different tune, even using racial epithets.

Even though 90% of the sports bros were cool with this, I'm not surprised ESPN told him to "apologize." Which he didn't actually do because that kid could sue him and apologizing for that would make any type of lawsuit worse.
