I didn't even know there was a season 1! I looked it up and the reviews are scathing.

Although there are other issues with the show, Alexandra Daddario is the biggest problem. She’s beautiful but her acting isn’t strong enough this role, which is a huge problem since she’s the main character.

I am trying to hang in until we get an Interview with the Vampire crossover but I don’t know if I’ll make it that long.

Total agreement. Gorgeous, striking eyes, but a pretty terrible actor. She was ~OKAY~ on the white lotus kind of because it didn't demand too much from her, but she really kills Mayfair witches dead.

i really hope they rethink any meaningful crossover with IWTV, even if it does make it that far. keep the vampires far away from this hot mess tbh

I like a lot of garbage tv, stuff that other people don't like and I hated this. I really enjoyed the books but this is so boring and she's not very good in the role. It was a slog to get through the season. I'm not watching this one.

Yeah, I didn't expect a super faithful adaptation, but this was bad even when you don't compare it with the book

it tells me they REALLY struck gold with rolin jones and co. the mayfair witches showrunner seemed like a dumbass who didn't particular get or care for the book series.

i'm a little worried for talamasca too, considering they're going to be coming with a plot whole-cloth with very little to base it on from the books.

I binged through A Discovery of Witches the other week and was so ready for more witch stuff, so I clicked on this and it was so… not good? Like not even the fun-bad that ADoW had at moments. Boo.
