this episode made me realize that as much as I love autumn's weather I hate its flavors?
I don't like pumpkin spice, I hate cinnamon, can't stand the texture of baked apple (give me fresh apples and I'm a happy person).
Also, idk if it was because these episodes were shot in spring or because The UK has a different climate, but I found it so curious that none of the typical autumn ingredients that we have here have not been used in the episode at all (chestnuts, persimmon and plums - the sort used to make dried prunes). Also that neither Paul nor Prue had ever had poppy seed filling in a dessert!
To the surprise of no one, i don't like persimmon either because I find it too sweet (also it gets too musht when (over)ripe). But from what I saw around, I don't think it is used as a baking ingredient, as in it actually gets baked, but I saw it being used to make creams, jams, and some people will even dry it.
Hard to be devastated with such a positive reaction from the baker that went home 💛 I will absolutely be trying to channel more of their vibes going forward. Loved them!
Dylan’s hatred of autumn is unknown to me but it was hilarious
I am actually sobbing because this is a perfect episode.
I wish more people were watching and reacting. OP, maybe if you posted in later on Fridays to give the US peeps a chance to watch it? Not that you are going for comments, but really good posts like this can get lost in the shuffles on Fridays where people are always looking for Roundup and then FFA.
I am so glad the person that did not go home did not go home. This season is really good even if there is one person I really want to go home, but I guess that is the point of shows like this, ha
I wonder if Christiaan is like the dark horse who is going to win. His creativity is off the charts.
I cried at this week’s elimination! Like I absolutely knew as soon as it was clear that they were the bottom two, but it still hurt.
This seems like such a talented group, it’s been fun to watch! Especially with a baker like Jill, who initially seemed pretty mid but has redeemed herself.
