According to The Hollywood Reporter, a film set in the Game of Thrones universe is currently in the works at Warner Bros. There is no filmmaker, cast or writer attached yet.

We’ll be getting a new movie AND a musical before we get TWOW.

In GOT it took me at least 5 hours of episodes to just learn all the main characters, in HOTD it took me 2 seasons and I still don't know who anyone is. This movie might as well just run the credits with photos and a dating profile at the beginning and Amazon's X-Ray on in the theater.
