It must be nice cosplaying as a working normie when you’re bills are paid, zero debt and cruising on mansions and private jets.

I'm sure she buys her own stuff but also he pays for their lifestyle and she would notice if that was gone. I'd want my own money no matter how rich my partner was because things can fall apart and I would never be peaceful if I didn't have my own money.

"she was surprised by how money dominated conversations and connections among the rich are"
Well a lot of them know each other because they're rich and they're interested in the connections because it can help them stay rich and get richer.

Rich people are the stingiest people.

I don’t work so we only have one account for my husband and I. I have my own credit cards but at the end of the day the money to pay them comes from the joint account anyway.

ETA: I do work as a stay at home mommy. That’s totes work.

lbr, as a stay at home mum, you probably work more than your husband does! Also, no judgment even if you weren't one. Society needs to get away from expecting everyone without a paid job to have an "excuse" ready.

STAHMs never get a break. Never! Whereas people with jobs that generate trackable income get sick days/PTO/vacation time, and unions to advocate for them in some cases! And even when you do manage to get a break, you're still on-call - any issues at home, you're the first one consulted.

Also why you dont want to marry into generational wealth where trusts are involved, your partner might need permission to spend a lot of that money, forget about you getting at it. I feel like people have a lot of misconceptions about marrying someone with money.
