I remember Grimes saying something similar about self-financing her work when she was still with local man and having children with him. It was stupid to get with him in the first place and even more foolish that she didn't experience any financial stability.

Yes! I'm sorry but any woman who dates or has kids with him is just not smart.

“I support a lot of the aspects of my life and myself. I have the pressure to make a certain amount of money”, adding that François-Henri finds her ambition sexy.

Yeah, this could never be me. I would rather be single the rest of my life than be married to a wealthy man and still feel pressure to support myself. The majority of benefits of hetero marriage go to men and it has become even more unequal now that women have this false notion of needing to bring equal financial value to the arrangement.

A type of financial abuse I see now that seems to be becoming increasingly common is women partnered with men making 2, 3 or more times their salary but splitting everything 50/50 in the name of equality. Like the women are sometimes starving, can't buy groceries, don't have proper clothes, but don't want to seem like golddiggers by bringing up this disparity in income. And like at that point the man is abusing YOU.

I noticed in those situations, the men tend to be stingy af. They treat their money as theirs only, but the women's money has to provide for themselves and a lot of things for their kids. I'm not talking stepkids, kids that are legally and/or biologically theirs.

OMG. What's even more messed up in these 50/50 arrangements where the woman earns less is that the husband will often refuse to modify their lifestyle to make things more affordable. Anyone who wants to split expenses 50/50 but makes more money is taking advantage of you!!!

I have a friend who has this kind of relationship. Her husband isn't a billionaire but he started making bank and as soon as he did he was like "Don't worry, I'll take care of you financially" and actually did.
