I think D’Angelo is my favorite YouTuber. Shia is absolutely disgusting. I can’t imagine how FKA must be feeling about this especially after seeing all the vitriol spewed at women who do come forward. Sending her love and strength during the upcoming trial

she's very right that nothing about that situation happened because of her, she was just in the wrong place with the wrong person. I think there's a tendency to either romanticize the treatment ('this is just what passion is like, relationships are hard work') or to demonize oneself for receiving it ('if I wasn't so stupid I wouldn't make them act like that') and she's absolutely right that there was nothing special about her or the specific relationship, it's a him problem, and he'd have dumped it on anyone.

It's such a strange thing, because it's not like it was all bad. They leverage the good times to make you ignore all the horrifying times.
