I had never heard of EB before the marathon. It's also known as butterfly skin or "the worst condition you’ve never heard of".

I'm glad he's using his fame to promote awareness.

according to the source Emma wasn't expected for survive for more than a week beyond birth - her form of EB is the most severe and the usual life expectancy is less than 35 years. it just sounds like absolute hell.

There was an incredible documentary called “The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off” made in 2004 about the final months of Jonny Kennedy, a British man with the condition. He was incredibly funny, cheeky and irreverent, and it did a huge amount to raise awareness in the UK. There’s a clip here: https://youtu.be/_dhTcr75Ung?si=V9qVm1HQUyEmOSJy and the full thing is available on 4OD, although I’m not sure if it’ll work outside of the UK https://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-boy-whose-skin-fell-off

Hot and nice, in this economy?!
I'd allow him to squish me to death with these arms.
