I am devastated. I enjoyed Jenn and Sasha’s partnership so much. They had a great week and she should be so proud of the work she did.
Carrie Ann not giving a 10 to Chandler after handing them out freely for most of the night was really fucked up. The fact that Carrie Ann couldn’t even articulate why bothers me so much.
Dani choreographed a very smart number but being critical, there wasn’t much to Dwight’s movements. The number had an impact but because of her not him.
Ilona must be the highest vote getter by far to be so far down the leaderboard and pull through. It’s bs that she didn’t win that dance off. She’s one of the weaker dancers left, but it feels like she had the audience support to win.
There was a moment in the Joey and Danny dance off where they were doing the exact same moves and I wondered if Jenna and Witney planned it. It looked very cool.
I know it's been said before that CAI is harder on the female contestants but I felt it was really obvious tonight. No way did Dwight or Danny deserve 10s while only giving Chandler a 9.
I love Ilona & Alan and thought they had one of their better dances. They definitely did better in the dance-off. I hope people keep voting for her.
Not sure who is voting for Dwight but he needs to be the next to go.
The judging is unbelievable. No one will be able to convince me that Dwight's contemporary deserved the same score as Jenn's contemporary. He didn't actually dance. He did a bunch of lifts, but all he did aside from that was stand in place and then walk. If you just watch his feet, it's super obvious that he did zero dancing, let alone contemporary. In comparison, Jenn not only danced throughout the routine but she did pretty well at contemporary for a celeb.
Stephen's contemporary was also pretty good. I'm sure there are people who will complain that he did handstands (or is it only the female gymnasts who get criticized for including gymnastics elements in their DWTS routines?), but contemporary is one of the dance styles where it's totally appropriate. If you watch SYTYCD or any dance competition with contemporary, you'll see that handstands, back handsprings, back layouts, and other gymnastics moves are regularly included.
I always end up getting annoyed with the show at this point in the season because the judges' scores become

Does the scoring always make no sense?? Are the judges told by the producers how to score?? I don't understand how Ilona got 8s and then literally everyone else got 9/10s
