Idk about all the journalists, but Pulitzer-prize winning David Hoffman, editor Robert Kagan, and Molly Roberts all resigned from the editorial board. Jonathan Capeheart didn't resign from the board but he did a scathing segment on his tv show.

Tbh the editorial board should have published an endorsement anyways, then resigned

Yeah, this is where I'm at. I thought integrity was everything?? Why did anyone give in?? Either you quit now and keep your reputation as a truthful writer possibly moving onto something bigger and better later, or you listen to your overlords and stay, to subsequently never be trusted again and then likely laid off to make up the difference of the entire public turning against you and cancelling their subscriptions because they don't wanna hear shit from anyone involved in such heavy acts of censorship. Option A: Easy future, Option B: Fucked up future for no reason-them billionares aint going to pay you for what you just did, not enough to keep you afloat for the rest of your life.
It was kind of a no-brainer here.

I wouldn't even resign, get that severance package after you do the right thing.

But also what did they think was going to happen when Lex Luthor bought the Daily Planet? He's just so cartoonishly evil.

I was reading this interesting twitter thread about the crisis in institutions on the left. Like usually people talk about right wing people only listening to fox but on the left people are (rightfully) angry with coverage from institutions like the nyt and Washington post.

I don't know what the answer is because I truly value them while also thinking they suck.

I think the biggest problem is that they're all owned by the same right wing oligarchs.

Was the thread arguing the NYT and WaPo are institutions within the left? I read both and would find that description odd.

No it wasn't saying they were left but that left wing people are starting to leave them (for good reasons but still).

BTW I think the nyt is having huge problems since the Biden op Ed where they pushed him to resign.

I subscribe to the games section and they keep begging me to subscribe to the paper for 0 dollars I think to inflate their numbers

NYT has been publishing a lot of weird stuff recently, especially a lot of seemingly pro-IDF shit.

I thought democracy dies in darkness? It's like TWP (Bezos) just voted for power cuts to help shut off the lights.
