I wonder if people will cancel their prime accounts too. That would hurt him more than cancelling WaPo.

It's enjoybettercoffee.com. You pay more, but you know where that money went in the first sip. A mod recommended the Douewe Egberts Aroma Rood instant to me and it's one of my favorites. I also recommend the Jacob's Velvet instant. The shipping cost is a bitch, but I buy in bulk (4-5 containers at a time) and that helps out considerably.

I hope you find something you like!

Reporters at the Post are telling people to cancel Prime and not their newspaper subscription since it will just cause people at the Post who are doing good, needed work to lose their jobs and not hurt Bezos at all since he's not turning a profit on that.

Problem is AWS is where the actual money is so canceling Prime subscriptions won't make a difference to his pocket.

And AWS runs a lot of the internet.

That said, I haven't used Amazon in years. My philosophy is I make enough money and have the luxury to not use Amazon, so why should I? My dollars don't mean much to them, but my dollars could go to a smaller or small business.

I understand that not everyone has those options, but I've been annoyed with people who do (because I know them well enough) and then they try to shame me for quitting Amazon because not everyone can.

tbh Amazon isn't even the cheapest option 90% of the time anymore, it's just convenient because it's a single website. There are almost no excuses to still be using it, IMO.

Lmao. Besoz could come to people's houses and kill their grandma and people will still be like "Buuuuut next day delivery".

I've seen some people also cancel prime.

Unfortunately I don't think even that will stop him. I read a piece years ago and the bulk of his fortune now comes from government contracts and selling cloud storage.

Still we can try our best to publicly shame him.

I won't cancel my Prime account because I use my friend's account. But if she decided to boycott I would not buy Prime

The quick answer is no, no it would not.

I’m really angry Amazon is so handy for people with disabilities. I’ve been trying out target’s same day delivery but it’s difficult for harder-to-source items.

I’ll never look back when I find a good replacement.

What will *really* damage them though is if there’s a mass exodus from AWS. I unfortunately already don’t use them so I can’t switch but if you have the purchasing power for IT services I really recommend finding another outlet.
