Anna Kendrick says "f*ck you" to the director who set her up to fail and mocked her on set.

“A director once in a room full of 100 extras or something was like, ‘Hey, on this next one just try something. Just make something up. Just improv something.' And I did it and then the… pic.twitter.com/OY1zyVf7aW

She bugs me because she has this vibe that she thinks she's better than everyone. And she probably does, because of how people were OTT stanning her after Pitch Perfect.

She starred on Broadway and got a Tony Award nomination when she was 12, and two Independent Spirit nominations before she was 25. She had a whole career before Pitch Perfect.

Was it on the set of 101 Dalmatians?

Idk, like it sucks to be singled out by a superior at work but what does it matter if they were 100 extras, peers, or a random crowd? It sounds elitist.

I don't think the extras is the operative part there, it's the 100. In front of a huge audience, he's put her on the spot and then not been tactful about his dislike of it

I think she was just trying to point out the director intentionally embarrassed her in front of a very large crowd.

That's like me saying "My boss yelled at me in front of 100 customers" and somebody saying "they're not customers, they're PEOPLE" LOL.

I have to say, I'm finding a lot of period specific movies these days trying to show the past through a modern lense and that's just not something you can do if you want any hint of honesty in the film. But this feels especially egregious because what she was trying to recreate had literal footage nearly anyone could find. This wasn't a case where "Maybe this happened", "maybe this conversation happened this way" - her part could have and should have been word for word
