it's so clear woman of the hour is more about her than the actual crimes

ugh that makes it worse considering most of his victims were children that he deliberately sought after.

the questions i just... everyone knew what the dating game was about. no one went in there like a doe-eyed baby!

I don't really think so? She chose him and then went out for a drink? He would've done something to her if those ppl didn't walk out?

And the women he did kill or harm were shown to by full of life and waiting to believe in people? I don't think they were portrayed as being dumb.

I actually felt the opposite. Like on the surface she was pushing a feminist angle but in the end did a disservice to the real woman by having her go on a date with him and having to be told by one of the male contestants to watch out. She avoids him by pure luck. In reality her own instincts told her he was creepy and she turned him down. He wasn't as sly as he thought he was being so even though the movie tries not to glamorize the serial killer I feel like it still kind of did.

I know they have to take some liberties since it's a movie which needed a plot but given the focus on feminism it rubs me the wrong way.

Her character ended up being the ~brilliant feminist~ that saw through him in comparison to the several victims shown who were too dumb to figure it out.

that's def not how it reads? he presented himself as the safer and more socially aware option of the bachelors and she chose him because of it. they go out together and the only reason she escapes the fate other women fell to is because a bunch of men come out of the building at the same time he's about to attack her. i would say if the movie is saying anything, it's that you can't trust any man because even the ones who present themselves well are dangerous.

I mean I think the movie was showing how women are treated and not taken seriously and that's why he was able to keep getting away with it.
