imo their points program is kind of trash. i feel like you don't get great value from it in terms of what you can redeem the points for.

also last year i got myself a cheese advent calendar and the cat, who enjoys a piece of shredded cheese from the bag once in a while, snubbed my offering of smoked gouda, lol.

okay, i found a picture of what is inside the BI calendar and there is not a single makeup or skin care product. it's basically just mini versions of beauty tools, what a shitty ripoff lmfao. i'd be so pissed if i used up points for that.

Sephora never puts out good advent calendars, everyone knows it yet is always surprised it’s garbage each year.

I need to get a few advent calendars to open, I got the bonne maman one year and it was fun.

Been interesting in the last few years seeing Advent calenders popping up in the States. I've mentioned before that I thought it was a UK/European thing but a few fellow Americans have mentioned seeing them here all their life which shocked me cause I never did!

But recently I was in a Macys and I saw a chocolate one!

I wonder if it's a regional thing? I'm in Canada so we're kind of like a weird baby cousin of the UK. I grew up having a chocolate advent calendar every year as a kid!

Tbh, I miss the days when Christmas advent calendars were only ever for chocolate, and they'd be a teeny pieces at that, but still exciting to open a new window every day.

This honestly has made me want to go out and get a choc advent calendar. It’s been DECADES since I had one

Quitting makeup and beauty entirely brought so much joy to my life. I didn't wear makeup very often to begin with, but cutting it out entirely and being pickier with skincare is saving me so much money and my skin looks so much better.

As for the calendar, I have zero use and zero space for the crap she's shown thus far from the 2500 point calendar. I don't usually get an advent calendar but I was considering getting one this year. I was too slow on the uptake though and there's no advent calendar that I'm interested in that's also available right now. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing more Christmas-y things in stores come December. I love peppermint chocolate.

I’m working my way up to this. I would get so anxious looking at all these products available thinking “how am I ever going to know which one is going to make me magically beautiful?!?” Once I realized that line of thinking was total bullshit, it’s been much easier to cut way back on what I buy and use.
