Ladj Ly, the filmmaker behind the Oscar-nominated “Les Misérables," will write and direct “Dumas: Black Devil.”

His life story is perfect for a film. I can't wait to see this man beefing with Napoleon on the big screen!

I really really enjoyed that recent two-part adaptation of The Three Musketeers. They were well cast and super fun. If you're willing to read subtitles, they're totally worth it.

Any mention of Dumas automatically makes me think of this scene, though:

His name is Thomas-Alexandre not just Alexandre

Alexandre (père) is his son, while Alexandre (fils) is his grandson
