This won't come to Europe until January/February, so I'm guessing Netflix is only going to release it on their platform in the US but it's just a trailer, let us watch the 2-3 minutes. LOL

huh, i thought this was coming to netflix here too but apparently not? it feels netflix is nabbing distribution for the US only more often lately. (eta: second trailer in the post is not geoblocked for me!)

anyways, this looks visually gorgeous and i’m excited to see angelina’s performance. i loved jackie and was cooler on spencer, but still liked it enough that this should be a slam dunk for me lol

i am rooting for angelina but the trailer did not inspire anything in me beyond "damn she's gorgeous"

it feels a little flat? dramatic without depth?

Jolie is cast really well here. I's hard to show in a film how Callas was considered exceptional - a better singer than anyone else on the planet - not with fifteen-thousand professionally sung and recorded versions of "her" greatest hits available on Youtube and/or Spotitfy. But you see Angelina Jolie being exceptionally beautiful and that kind of makes you see what you can't hear. I think it works. At least in this trailer.

I do wonder how Toni Erdmann's Maren Ade ended up producing this.
