I feel so bad for all the kids involved with this. For Riley to be treated like the wet blanket and having so much responsibility thrust upon her. That's a huge burden to have especially now with all of the media attention since Lisa's passing and the fighting with Priscilla. Heartbreaking for Ben to feel like it was his responsibility to stay by his mother's side, even when it was to his own detriment and crushing for the twins who must have been so scared to see their mom's health deteriorate like that and now are left without their mother. My heart breaks for all of them. I know what it's like to be in a home where one person's mood affects the vibe of the entire house and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

jesus christ, this period must have been difficult for riley to relive. it sounds like she was trying her best to help lisa and benjamin while providing stability for the twins at the same time, just constantly putting out fires. addiction is such an awful disease.

Anyone ever wonder how us common folks manage to handle all the pain without drugs?

A lot of people are on drugs/functioning alcoholics.

My sister works a boring desk job and she said literally everyone is medicated.

Maybe in the US it's worse because of the way doctors prescribe strong drugs that get you addicted right away.

it's not a country specific thing. here in latin america it's the same, if there's one thing you can be sure that most people around you have is debt and are self-medicating in some way.

Riley’s tributes to Benjamin make me emotional they seemed so close.
It seems like a lot of pressure for her to be the monitor of her mom’s interactions with her sisters. It seems like she had to be the grown up in charge of all of them.

Ben and Lisa Marie seemed to have a codependency that hurt them both. I think Lisa Marie was trying to be a good mother but her demons wouldn’t let her.
