In addition to the act of smoking being revolting, I don't think I've ever seen a smoker who didn't litter.

it's still crazy to me that ppl actually litter. like, i've had a piece of paper blown away by the wind and unable to catch it, but i can honestly say i have never on purpose thrown trash onto the street or into nature, i just can't do it. idk why it seems to be so hard for other people not to do it.

A while back on Reddit I saw someone post a video on r/Raleigh I think of someone just stopping at a stoplight, opening her door, and placing her empty Bojangles box and cup in the middle of the road and then drive off. It's maddening.

Same. Even if you don't care about the environment, aren't you bothered by all that mess in your surroundings?

I think it's a combo of people being too lazy to walk and drop it in a trash can* & thinking "Someone will clean it up."

*Supposedly Walt Disney had a theory that a person will not walk more than 40 steps to a trash can to throw something away, if they have to they will just drop it on the ground. That's why there are a lot a trash cans at Disney parks.

I love this. Both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul seem to have had really good relationships with the communities they filmed in, which is really nice to see.

vince gilligan's shows really have done a lot for the state. NM is very poor without a lot of opportunity but has a very solid pool of talented local crew and having his productions there in the 2010's definitely contributed to making it a more popular filming location/boosting the economy & employment

It’s crazy that people still litter. I was in a park with my kid yesterday and a group of teenagers left a bunch of Starbucks there. How does anyone think that’s ok?
