1D fans have been all over my twitter feed and it's really touching to see all the tributes. I wasn't in the 1D fandom (my sister was) but I can see how much they (and Liam) meant to a lot of people. I'm learning a lot of the fandom and the inside jokes and it's just all very bittersweet.

When I saw that Argentinian fans created a barrier with hands up so they could block the paps from taking photos of Liam's dad when he arrived.. that got me. I know fandoms can be toxic sometimes but stuff like that is really beautiful.

I think many people are starting to realize what attracted us to them. I wasn't their target audience but they were so captivating, they used to be really warm and loving with each other, it was beautiful to witness. part of the fun was just watching them have fun on stage and play around.

I realize many people don't understand their behavior in their solo careers (especially Harry) but it all makes sense when you realize what they went through, the fans always noticed the mistreatment, not in its full reality though

yeah, as a 1d fan (one keenly aware at the time of being way too old for this) who honestly has not cared for harry’s solo career at all and doesn’t actively follow him, i still get incredibly defensive on his behalf when people complain that his interviews are boring or do shit like complain he wouldn’t “claim” olivia wilde when they were dating (lol). like… no he isn’t! you don’t get it! you weren’t there! he’s making the choice he needs to make and that’s fucking valid!

Don’t blame Zayn one bit for postponing his tour. Imagine having to go out and perform when you just know all the press and media is going to be about Liam - he would be asked to hell and back about it. That’s too much for anyone, much less for someone like Zayn who historically has been very open about his anxiety.

In the 911 call I think the employee specifically asked just for medical services and not police which kind of made me think something like this may come out. There’s definitely a power dynamic of rich celebs getting hotel staff or any staff to get them drugs, and I don’t know how I feel about them getting charged but it’s a tough situation.

There was no way zayn could have started tour this week so I was kind of waiting on/expecting that announcement.

yeah i was thinking about the power dynamic in the asking an employee for drugs that can be so tricky. if you say no they could get you fired, if you do it you are now liable if things go wrong :/
