The anniversary of this shitshow is upcoming, so that's why it's being featured in this edition of ONTD Divinity School. Get your calculators out, jackals. Numbers abound!
One thing I never understood with these kinds of predictions is how do they account for time zones? Is the end of the world just supposed to happen at the exact moment that all the time zones are on the same date? Or does God go by the time zone of the guy who made the prediction was living in, or what?
The only one of these that really got to me was when I was a kid there was a news story about how on a certain date all the planets in the solar system would be (roughly) lined up in a row in their orbits. And a bunch of people were predicting the end of the world based on that. Old Dr. Gene Scott had a fun time with that one.

That was in the trailer for End of Days with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's told that if certain things happen the world will end on Midnight on such & such a date. And he says; "Oh, yeah? In what timezone?"
I don't know who all my mom listens to, but she's listening to youtube pastors and "prophets" every damn day and they are so dark and creepy. They talk about demons possessing everyone and the rapture constantly, and my mom really believes demons are everywhere and the rapture is happening in 44 years because something something Israel. I've tried to point out that the fear mongering and hate they preach is against what Jesus taught, but she doesn't want to hear it. And of course they say tr*mp is wonderful and Kamala is evil. I honestly miss when she went to the Mormon church because as weird as they can be, they are way less dark and creepy than these youtube freaks.
Ah, The Freedom from Religion foundation. My Brother supports them, in spirit not with cash. He's not Atheist or Agnostic, he's just fed up with (mostly Christian) religion being interjected into so many things. To quote him: "I believe in God, not religion."
