Honestly it was so distracting when I watched Animal Kingdom because instead of seeing Smurf, I would just look at her onscreen and wonder why she married someone more than twice her age.

I had been wondering what in the book (in the show) made people say she was so horrible cause being a cheating douche snob isn’t that extreme. But purposefully letting someone die is! Now I want to know what the “got what she deserved” is all about because she has a great career, son, marriage, money.
I also find it a little odd to recast younger Cate. Like they use de-aging technology on male actors all the time. And everyone knows what she looked like in 2005, and tbh it wasn’t that different
