While I agreed with Paul that Jimmy shouldn't be Sean's therapist anymore because they clearly have a much more personal relationship now, I disagreed with both Paul and Jimmy insisting that Sean needed to go meet an old friend who he identified as a trigger.
I can't remember the exact timeline of S1, but it's not like Sean has been Jimmy's patient for ten years and avoiding this one friend the entire time or trying to cut him out of his life completely. I think it's only been a few months (definitely less than a year) so it's okay that Sean has done enough work to realize that his old friend is a trigger and that it might not be the healthiest thing for him at the moment. Knowing himself well enough to clearly see that something isn't good for him and setting a boundary seems like a good thing to me.

But by the time s2 came out I didn't remember a single thing about the show, they really should have included a s1 recap before the first ep. Now I haven't started episode 2 cause I'm not sure it's worth investing into this show especially if i can't remember shit, and rewatching s1 isn't really an option cause I didn't love it and there's wayyy too much tv to watch to waste time on a just okay show
