This episode was so fucking good!!! Sadly I've already seen shippers losing their minds on TikTok over [Spoiler (click to open)]the lack of Agatha x Rio/focus on Billy's backstory in this episode... but I shouldn't be surprised. Shippers have even been tagging and DMing the writer of Uncanny X-Men on Twitter lately to complain about the lack of Rogue x Magneto content.

I'm so glad that the focus of Teen's journey seems to be [Spoiler (click to open)]finding Tommy and not Wanda right now, because that fits my delusional Children's Crusade adaptation fantasy AND (hopefully) means we'll be getting Speed soon. I'm also really happy that the show seems to be squashing the theory-to-disappointment pipeline we had with WandaVision; every reveal feels more purposeful and planned for.

Fun, fun, fun! I was gasping A LOT.

[Spoiler (click to open)]As a Wanda fan, I was enjoying all the WandaVision and Wanda drops. It makes sense to me that Billy would seek his brother, since he assumes Wanda is dead, but I still hold out hope that this show will confirm Wanda is alive by the end of it. It feels like it's setting up for Children's Crusade

I personally think we're going to see an abbreviated master/apprentice relationship between [Spoiler (click to open)]Agatha and Billy unfold as a surrogate storyline for how she mentored Wanda in the comics. I could be wrong, but tbh I saw it coming based on how Kathryn and Joe always seemed to be interviewed together apart from the rest of the cast 👀

We got Teen's backstory this episode, but a lot of it still revolved around Agatha. And with the mid-season trailer, we already know we're getting a lot of Agatha's backstory in the remaining episodes!

i loved it and this show has been fun so far but as always some of stan twitter is threatening to make this less fun. like they need to chill outtt about calling billy ~that twink, it’s like they want to say a slur so bad 😒 like the stans mad bc [Spoiler (click to open)]he isnt looking for wanda at the end of the road, as if he doesn’t think she’s already dead, as if wanda wouldn’t want her boys to prioritize reuniting, as if twins aren’t written to have a cosmic connection, as if billy is supposed to know what wanda was up to in MoM (i thought it was p clear he barely has any memories as a maximoff??) and then there are the agatha/rio stans that think he should’ve stayed dead bc they think he’s taking away screentime and focus from their ship(??) ugh im sorry for the rant but the amount of hit tweets im reading that are just unapologetically homophobic is 🥴🥴🥴

Yeah twink is just a stand in for another slur. Also, I say this as respectfully as possible because I’m also a queer woman and genuinely am craving the lesbian representation, but while Kathryn is incredible and I don’t really care about a straight actor playing a queer role, it is genuinely kind of fucked how badly some fans are shitting on an out gay teenager playing a gay role for “getting the first kiss in the show” because the “real rep” they want is from a (to my knowledge) straight actress? (I know Aubrey is bi so not including her in that.) Not trying to oversimplify it because I do get how minimal WLW rep is and also find it so frustrating, but a lot of the tweets I see pitting MLM rep against WLW rep completely ignore how cool this is for Joe and how cool it is that we will (very likely) get BOTH in the show. Also because Rio and Agatha are clearly kissing at some point; Billy’s was just first because he’s in a sweet uncomplicated teen relationship while they’re embittered exes

yaaa you hit a lot of it dead on. also it’s just bizarre and disheartening to see them lash out at joe and billy when *if* they do get baited and don’t get payoff for agathario that’s entirely a disney issue?? wtf does joe have anything to do with it. like, stan culture is a disease. a lot of them are saying outright hateful or harmful things under the guise of defending their faves and for what?? bring back shame tbh
