I have an older generation Kindle (5th gen I think?), with physical page buttons and I hope it never dies because I don't want an e-reader without the physical page buttons lmao

My 4th gen died and I ended up buying one of those Bluetooth page turner clickers for my paperwhite replacement. Couldn't believe they removed physical buttons.

I’m holding on to my Kindle Oasis for that reason. I have both generations, and they both still work. I need that page-turning button!

I had to buy a new one last year after my old one broke and the old ones were so much better.

Does anyone have a Boox Palma? I have wrist problems and am really looking for an e-ink reader that's small, but I've heard some things about it not being very reliable

Yes, I bought one of these recently. It seemed more useful than a regular e-reader because not only could I put Kindle on it, but also Anki (flashcards), K-9 Mail, free dictionary apps etc.

I mainly bought it to read in bed, but I found I need to have a lot of willpower to use it when my phone is right there too. It's a game changer to take out on a sunny day, though, when reading anything on your phone is a pain. In any case when I read on the Palma my eyes are always grateful afterwards.

No reliability issues so far, the main issue is that it's closed source Android and the last security update was ~6 months ago. Probably not a problem as long as you don't go online much and download most stuff from F-Droid store.
