Her reasoning for having Riley kinda made me side eye her a bit. Someone let me know if i'm interpreting this wrong, but it sounds like she more just had Riley to forever tie herself to Danny even if they broke up which is 😖

Nah, from the memoir, she genuinely loved Danny but it looks like the abortion fucked her up, she says in the book he didn't have to be involved...but then he had to marry her, but then Danny's memory is he was down for it, so maybe she's talking from insecurity and he's confirming he was shocked but okay with it? Idk. She does have a connection/hold with Danny their whole lives, however, as future chapters will show. Weirdly close relationship for the rest of her life, Riley called her parents soul mates (which has made a certain singer's fans furious).

A common thread in the book is Lisa having a weirdly accurate intuition for things and the importance of Danny in her life is the first example (I think?) of it. Coincidentally, Riley would have the same kind of intuition regarding her own husband.

Whenever I look at Riley as a kid, I think I'm looking at Lisa Marie until I look next to her and see Lisa Marie. And then I look at Lisa Marie and sometimes think I'm looking at Elvis with extensions in a skirt 😳

I wonder if she looked back at her wedding photos like "Why do I see my dad in a wig?"

Honestly, one of the best memoirs I've read, not necessarily because it's a complete story but a raw document of grief, love and family. It was very emotional.

I googled Riley's dad for the first time now and in some pictures her husband looks like him lol like with the long dark hair there's a resemblance

I remember her saying her husband has a lot of her father's positive attributes but I never thought he resembled her dad, now I have to google.

Hahaha I googled both and was like wait a min...It’s when he had longer hair, also they both have an angular face, strong jaw, similar lips… same vibezzz to me
