You know, if he just admitted he lied after the whole thing blew up and was sincerely apologetic people might have forgiven him and let it blow over. Insisting on lying is a choice.

I am still baffled by this. Is he unwell? I feel like if he had come out sooner that he had been lying, people would have moved past it to some degree. He really shot himself in the foot here.
