Fan rushes The Weeknd on stage in Australia

Last night, The Weeknd finally brought the next leg of his AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN Stadium Tour to Melbourne, Australia.

During the performance of "Out Of Time", a fan managed to bypass the railing and security to get on stage and charge towards Abel for a hug.

For some reason my first thought after watching this clip was 'this is just a social media clout thing,' rather than an unplanned burst of stan excitement or whatever. Obviously it's not OK no matter what, but to do something so unsafe just for attention and clicks is so cynical and shitty. I hope this doesn't get him more followers.
