This series isn't something spectacular, but it's a nice fall watch, so I'm happy to have it finally return. Such a short season, though! Although I guess the first one was short as well.
And happy to have Phil back on my TV, although I wonder how much he's in it considering he's shown in the trailer, like, once.
He had more to do in the first season than I thought, but it still was sort of a thankless role. I’m curious how they’ll use him now - what a shame to not give him more, he’s probably the most recognized person in the cast for a US audience. (I mean, obviously Capaldi’s famous but he’s nerd famous.) With how things ended, he could definitely have an interesting redemption if they chose to. But I kind of hope they kill him off so he’s free next year for Ted Lasso. 😂
Season 3 of The Devil's Hour is already done filming and it's supposed to be the final season. He's also in Surface, and season 2 is done filming for that but not yet released, so I guess it's a question if there's a season 3 of Surface and if he has to film for that.
But yeah, it's kind of a bummer if he has to miss Ted Lasso because of prior commitments to shows where he's not really a meaty character.
FINALLY!!!! I have been dying for a second season. I absolutely loved the first! So excited to see what direction they take this. I need to rewatch season one.
