I saw he passed away back in August but the family just announced it due to a potential estate dispute with his daughter.

RIP. I grew up watching reruns of Good Times, but was today years old to find out that's why he got wrote off for. It's a shame but the episode of his death was such a strong one to me. I know a lot of people make fun of the damn damn damn scene, but Florida refusing to acknowledged his death was so heartbreaking to me.

It’s a funny scene out of context, but it split me apart when I watched it during the show. It’s an episode I kept skipping during rewatches. It’s just too hard.
