people who say age doesn't matter are fooling themselves. if you really want to connect with someone you have to be on the same highway of life and 10+ years age difference is just too far apart when it comes to your brains being on the same wavelength imo. even if you like the same things and have a lot in common, an extra decade of life experience makes a huge difference

Agreed….i went out on a date with a 25 year old for a hot minute. My 39 year old ass felt like I was babysitting the dude then actually dating him.

The date was a disaster. We had nothing to talk about cuz I keep up with actual current events like the news and etc. He keeps up with pop culture…I mean which I get cuz I was like that too when I was his age, but talk about cringe 😬 I felt like a crypt keeper that has been living under the bridge cuz he was talking about all these TikTok trends and etc. that I never cared about.

The older you get the less it matters, like I don't doubt my 60+ yo dad relates to his 50-something girlfriend. But teens, twenties, and thirties, those gaps are really felt. I’m just 30 but I genuinely cannot imagine dating a 24 year old who poorly lip syncs on tiktok for a living. I don’t think the age gap is even necessarily the problem here it’s the fact that you are an adult woman dating someone who is part of a group that called themselves the Montana Boyz. That sucks.
