The album really does sound like someone going off in their kitchen, and I mean that with every compliment. The stretch from Rack of His to Cosmonauts is a perfect listen.

They need to fix that Idler Wheel rating. Another 10!

I just love her. I learned ‘shameika’ on the piano recently, such a great song to play.

I didn't click with this album like a lot of people did, but I've loved her since Tidal, and am happy when she gets acclaim.

Looking at the full list (https://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/the-100-best-albums-of-the-2020s-so-far/), the order is all out of whack, but happy to see:

Tyler, The Creator - Call Me if You Get Lost
Haim - Women in Music Part III
Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
The Weeknd - Dawn FM
Sudan Archives - Natural Brown Prom Queen
Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher
Caroline Polachek - Desire, I Want to Turn Into You
Rosalía - MOTOMAMI
Charli XCX - Brat (though if I'm being real, I like Crash better!!)
SZA - S.O.S.

Missing some good stuff, as always, but that's how it goes.

It's my least favorite Fiona Apple album. I'm old & lack the patience to appreciate something so deliberately abrasive and hookless.

I wasn't a huge fan of this album when it came out, but I'm thinking I should give it another listen. My favorite album of hers will always be Tidal.
