Instead of speaking about her own experience as a parent, Turner explained that she was discussing her character, which she said was an obvious distinction.

do we have a link to the actual interview? bc holy clickbait!

Funnily enough US Weekly did it themselves lol

It’s so clear she was talking about the character and they used it as their headline

just because she is rich and more than likely help doesn't negate having feelings of being a single mom. leave single moms along rich or poor. fuck people that come at moms when men get away with everything.

Reading the original article now and the show’s creator & sophie unknowingly called this bullshit out then.

Symon was surprised to be repeatedly questioned by friends on whether viewers would find the lead character - a dedicated mother who’s a skilled crook - likeable. “Would you be asking this if it was a man?” the screenwriter says. “How many male criminals, from Walter White [in Breaking Bad] to Tony Soprano [in The Sopranos] to Minder, have we watched? And we haven’t thought about that stuff - we’ve just gone, ‘Yeah, that’s their job.’” On this double standard, Turner adds: “Mothers are judged for anything they do outside of motherhood. So if that ends up being crime, my goodness, the amount of judgment is heightened tenfold.”
