Andy Samberg was a terrible choice.

I was going to go as Moo Deng for my work’s Halloween costume but Bowen has really scooped me!

Someone sent me the Moo Deng (my little bouncy pork QUEEN) sketch and I laughed a bit imagining her actually saying this. But, it didn’t sit right with me that it was basically a hit on Chappell Roan -- acted out by a man who literally had to step away from his work because he was having a mental health crisis.

I’ve never been a big fan of Bowen Yang anyway, but this made me like him even less.

I’m unable to watch the sketch right now, but that is terrible. I like both Bowen and Chappell so 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I didnt see it as a bash against her. It felt more like he was making a comment on how people love nothing more than to drag someone down. Chappell became everyone’s punching bag, and I think he was pointing that out, not trying to make fun of her.

But that was my take on it, but I could be wrong.

I don’t think you’re wrong, I think it’s just easy to have several interpretations of this and that’s what makes it not a great sketch (imo) when it comes to talking about a real person having a mental health issue.

Bowen is such a star. Pretty weak episode for the season 50 opener though and it felt like they underused Jean.

I don’t watch SNL but I saw an article that said they did a Charlie xxc(?) skit and it’s so predictable/corny when someone gets famous and they do a “_____ talk show” skit. You can tell they have no fresh ideas.
