The whole time I watched the first 2 episodes I could not think of a reason why was Niecy Nash's character was working with the nun? Like, you're a cop and you tell a nun reporter all the information about a case when you first meet her? It just doesn't seem realistic (I know it's a show, a Ryan Murphy show at that). It bothered me that they didn't explain why they started working together, or what the nun was really adding to Niecy's detective work.
Besides that, I guess it was OK. I thought Niecy was really good. I know it's Ryan Murphy, but at least he gives her roles that show she's a great actress. I'm interested in seeing where it goes. I hope it's not the usual tropes. We'll see. I'll tune in next week to see what's up.
