i know of a few people who got "invites" to a diddy party, and my understanding is that a lot of people end up there by accident because there's actually only a small section of people that like freely tell others to avoid them. it's really weird. like to this day i don't even know what to make of it.

i do kind of think this is a rare example of community within the music industry (given everything that happens there) because there were/are a LOT of black celebs who were trying to keep their people away from diddy and his parties. idk what was going on there but it must be seriously vile for the sheer amount of effort people were putting towards keeping people away from him.

Josh Johnson has a bit where he talks about how most people in the black community knew he was an evil monster.

someone else in a comment mentions how a lot of 50cent's discussion of diddy was fully homophobia, and i dont doubt that that was some of why men were so outspoken about telling boys to stay away from him, but i also know that there were just as many men and women warning people every time it came up.

there's just so much to unpack about this i never even know where to begin. there's a lot about him that i hope gets answered asap so we can have these discussions.

I’m pretty sure diddy abused lots of men but most of them won’t speak… the stigma is still strong for male victims :(

This is what's really heartbreaking. Can't imagine the pain from all the abuse/trauma plus the pain of people simply dismissing your experiences as a survivor because patriarchy brainwashes you into believing that if you were unable to "defend" yourself against whatever threat you aren't "man enough".

So this is like another Harvey Weinstein situation where everyone knew “something” wasn’t right but Diddy just had too much clout/power smh it’s one thing for all of these people in the music industry to feel like they couldn’t opt out but I’m judging all of these athletes and movie industry people who were going to these parties.

it is to my understanding (forget which person talked about this a while ago), that a lot of diddy parties may look normal on the surface (that is, your standard glitzy party with celebrities, pretty people, alcohol, fireworks, etc.).

But then either at the same time, or laaater, stuff happening downstairs or other rooms.
