I had a dad that loved the baby and little kid phase and then it just kind of tapered out from like 7 onward. It's like it got old and boring and he checked out of being dad even though we lived in the same house. My family tried so hard to get him to straighten out and he never did. So now we just don't talk that much. I'll never understand dads.
