Kamala Harris is a horrible woman, so I don't blame Chappell.

You repeat debunked Republican propaganda, so you don't seem like a good judge of character.

she's right about voting in your local elections. i wish we were in place where we could vote for smaller, third party candidates in a presidential election - unfortunately, that's not the case. kamala is very much in the wrong for supporting israel (i mistyped before), but if trump wins, he will continue to eradicate the rights of all minorities and i cannot stomach that ( ... )

I know she is outspoken about genocide, so that probably plays a part in why she doesn’t want to endorse Harris. However I’m not too keen on the “both sides are bad” when comparing the candidates.

yes a principled opposition to endorsing a party complicit with genocide or a similarly severe example is a stance i can understand… but “there’s problems on both sides” simply makes you sound like a dumbass. especially when the one issue you do identify as important to you is one where there actually is an incredibly clear, identifiable, and huge difference between the two parties. i know she’s raised money for palestine so i’m sort of willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on the matter but she did pick the most annoying way to phrase it lol

America has already fallen into a fascist police state under Biden. Voting locally is super important and even more than that, building local networks of care and community. Stop expecting politicians to save you, they dgaf, all they care about is getting elected and staying elected. I've said it before, it's a race to the bottom and Trump is leading the way but the democrats are just one step behind him.

Fascist police state is a lot.

Are you defining that like:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_state

Under Biden? Did I miss a stronger move toward fascism or police state than GW Bush's Patriot Act?

I mean, I think the OP is being hyperbolic but as if we didn't see Biden intentionally smear pro-palestinian protestors as violently antisemitic in order to justify the violent crackdown by police on student encampments across the country and to downplay/quell Pro-Palestine protests in general. Using police to quash dissidents would fall into your def of a police state no?

There's not a "[my] def" here - I'm just trying to understand OP's definition in relation to some other definitions. I couldn't define fascism or police state if cornered and interviewed on the street. My understanding is broad, like "that stuff is oppressive." I'd need to look it up before I used those terms to describe anything.

Strong points of view read to me like there is a strong piece of supporting evidence. I don't presently have a piece of info that would cause me to describe Biden as creating a fascist police state. I never rule out the existence of something I missed, because I do disappear from following current events.

When I looked deeper, I did not interpret Biden's "order must prevail" speech ( this is what I think is what you mean)* as singling out pro-Palestine protestors, but condemning the kind of chaos that gives terrorists sick pleasure.. in the usual political-ese speak, being vague to cushion the blame. But I also go into that already knowing the instigators of real violence weren't pro-Palestinian to begin ( ... )

idk if im taking crazy pills or if everyone is truly just tiktok brain rotted, but has no one done any reading on the history between america and israel? like on what planet do they think USA will EVER have a presidential candidate that runs on an "israel shouldnt exist" platform?
it is genuinely equivalent to me saying, im not voting or endorsing a president until one runs on an open-borders policy. THIS IS THE UNITED STATES. KNOW YOUR FUCKING COUNTRY.

anyone with a brain should be absolutely terrified of trump running this country for another 4 years. are his insane policies and rhetoric not enough to endorse literally ANYONE that is running against him? like whaaattt is going oooonnnnn i am scared.
