It looks like Chester's ex wife had previously shared a story about Grey Daze replacing Chester with a female vocalist and members of Grey Daze mocking Chester over it. So it sounds like his mom is getting bands confused.

What they're doing now is very, very wrong but I have a hard time believing this.
Mike and Chester's relationship was one of the best things about LP. Obviously you never know for sure but it was always very supportive and reciprocated in a way that's very hard to fake imo.

I have not seen him since prior to my divorce in 2005. I believe my mother-in-law is mixing up bands between Linkin Park and Grey Daze. Grief and sadness messes with your memory.”

i hate how redditors are now calling his mother a liar. i mean - think about it.

let's say you have a son who struggles with depression and suicidal ideation. that son becomes a famous musician who expresses his pain through his music. your job as a mom is to support that kid. so when he calls you and tells you about the shitty things his friends say, do you run to the press? no. you support your kid. when your kid tells you all the shit that's going on, because you're his mom and he needs to talk to his mom sometimes, you hurt for your kid but you support him and do and say whatever he needs.

then let's say that kid dies. commits suicide. he's struggled too much and can't take it anymore. and one of the people who caused him pain starts to SHIT ON HIS MEMORY?

please tell me you're not going to have a moment where you tell the truth because you're the only one left who can speak for your son, since those closest to him aren't.

i've got 3 sons and they've gone through it. if this were me? i'd have told the fucking world.
