Is "The Bear" really that good, chat?? Justice for Only Murders in the Building" and "What we Do in the Shadows!"

The first two seasons are good. Uneven, but good, with some great acting. The third season took a hard turn towards pretentious and self-indulgent, like you can tell the showrunner has bought into his own hype. It feels like a completely different show compared to the first season. And it's definitely not a comedy anymore, if it ever was.

It's a great show, just not exactly a comedy. I'm pretty sure no one would gaf so much if it was in Drama categories and swept there instead tbh (though Shogun deserved it this year). With Succession done now, it would probably still do pretty well there.

Unpopular opinion here but no - it’s a bit emperor’s new clothes. Very charismatic leads and a busy, overly loud script distracting you from the fact that it’s a lot of nothing.

Happy for Liza and Anna, they both totally deserve it. I’m a fan of both shows but outside of some of the acting I think they’re both pretty overrated oop
