I enjoyed this! I don't know how it compares to the original, I never saw it, though I do know [Spoiler (click to open)]this one has a "happier" ending with the family all surviving, but it was pretty fun.

And Paddy's [Spoiler (click to open)]explanation did get a laugh out of me, cause you do spend the whole fucking time thinking "why the fuck would you go (back) there with these people or do what they tell you?!"

lmao that ending is fucking ridiculous and vastly highlights the american need to water down and completely miss the artistic point of pretty much everything they remake.

I do appreciate the spoiler tho, it saved me from bothering with this one.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the original because of reading how it ends, which just sounded super frustrating for me. But I really want to see James in this version so I will check it out and hope for a surprise twist along the way.
