Looking forward to Will & Harper, but I'll wait for Netflix. And yiiiiikes at that Megan Fox one. That looks like a project Jenna Maroney would take.

On Saturday, we're going to see a screening of From Russia With Lev, mainly because Rachel Maddow is doing a Q&A afterward and I like listening to her talk.
And then Sunday, we've got Broken Arrow (1950) at the Academy Museum - hopefully I can watch most of the Emmys before we have to leave for that one.
Recent watches include Bend of the River (1952) and The Far Country (1954) in a double feature. Saw them entirely because they star Jimmy Stewart, and liked them both.
Right now, I am trying to plan out my Beyond Fest schedule. Tickets for all of the screenings go on sale tomorrow at the same time, so I have to prioritize what to see and it's a little overwhelming - lots of stuff this year! I tried doing my planning on a notepad, and was humbled and saddened by how shitty my handwriting looks... Google Docs it is. :/

But I was trying to figure out why everyone in the 4:30 trailer looked so modern/not 80s, and for once it isn't entirely the issue of instagram face - everyone in the 80s looked much older than they were either because of makeup/smoking, and in the movies teens were always played by people a decade+ older, so these kids all look too young and well-moisturized for a truly 80s vibe lol.

Seeing Speak No Evil tonight. I know it won’t be the original but want to see how Americanized (derogatory) they make it.
